You mentioned b/fast in this post again which reminded me of it - im slightly gluten intolerant so try not to eat much bread- my alternatives are cooked oats with a dash of honey, stewed apples/pears (basically I just boil them sliced in VERY little water, with cinnamon and tsp honey) to which you can eat as is or add plain yogurt. Have also started enjoying a POACHED egg which is great with anything, esp Avocado. Found a HEALTHY version of Hollandaise sauce:plain yogurt, lemon juice, lemon zest or rind and Dill.
