embrace the camera

The other evening when I dragged Christopher (and therefore Ryann) outside to take pictures for my workout gear post, I decided to have him snap a few of Ryann and I as well.  Yes my hair is in a ponytail, and yes I'm wearing a workout top.  But those times when I'm not 'perfect' for pictures?  Those are the times we seem to have the happiest baby.  I love these.

Recently Ryann has been offering up a lot more love, and will frequently give me smooches when I ask.  The latest one we've been working on?  The cheek grab and kiss.  Oh my goodness, when her little hands awkwardly grab my cheeks and she plants a big wet one on me?  My heart melts.  Every. Single. Time.  I love these little tidbits of affection from her.

And this little lady?  She seems like a different girl the past couple of days.  Yes she is still a strong willed toddler.  But I think getting over being sick + her teeth possibly not causing tons and tons of pain + starting to sleep better (probably because of the two reasons I just mentioned) has greatly improved her overall mood.  Which in turn obviously improves mine.

All in all it has been a much needed easy going happy week around here.
