alphabet party inspiration
Even though I don't have my own party pictures to share just yet, I'd thought I would go ahead and show you my inspiration photos. Pretty much all of these I found via pinterest, but I'll just be sharing the original source.
1 :: Tissue poms galore! I'd been having a hard time deciding what I wanted to do for decor. I didn't really want to plaster the alphabet all over the walls. I didn't want to just do tissue poms or something of that nature over the dessert table, because it was essentially what we did last year. But then I came across this photo from an Animal Parade Party by Paper & Ink. I was sold. I wanted to cover my entire ceiling in tissue poms, and exchange the animals for letters. I told my mom the plan, she definitely thought I was joking. I was not. :o) Anyway, this party was a huge inspiration for me.
2 :: I saw this invitation done by Melissa over at I Still Love You a long time ago. I'm 99% sure I shared it on the blog almost two years ago. I just thought the illustration was so much fun. I combined that idea with the illustrated flash card invites I'd seen on a couple of alphabet party posts.
3 :: This is a fun modern alphabet party by Samantha of Papermints (shared on Pizzazzerie).
4 :: This Mermaid Swim Party came through my blog feed via Kara's Party Ideas. I loved the use of the two fabric patterns on the table. My patterns were much more subtle, so you don't get quite the same look, but I loved it just the same.
5 :: I thought the idea of alphabet letters in a flower vase was just too cute (and simple!) to pass up. Of course I wanted letters in my party colors, so I had to bust out the spray paint, but no big deals. Image from One Charming Party.
6 :: Another alphabet party I used for inspiration. I LOVED their flashcard food labels. A lot. But I just didn't spend the time to do the illustrations. Seen on Blonde Designs Blog.
7 :: Loved this cake topper by Potter + Butler on Etsy. A shop full of very fun party items.
Here is another inspiration worthy alphabet party. The awesome thing about an alphabet party, is that you can stick a letter on something and it fits the theme. Easy peasy. I'm not huge in to things being too 'themey' so this was a great one to go middle ground on.
How long do you think I can drag all this party business out? Ha ha. I swear next year I'm just going to do a small simple party... I think...
These are some great ideas, how did we ever live without pinterest?
