nursery progress

My nursery is no longer an empty room!! Our furniture was delivered yesterday, and my mom was kind enough to bring the bedding and the pillow she made up today. I'm in love...

The nursery got small really fast, and I have yet to figure out a good angle to see the bedding. I'll figure that out when the room is completely finished.

We changed out the knobs that came on the dresser, for some with a little more sparkle. I wanted some knobs from Antrhopologie, but at $10 a pop and 12 knobs, I thought that was a bit ridiculous. I found these babies at Hobby Lobby, originally $5.99 each, on sale for 50% off. Much better on the wallet and I still think they look great.

And because I think he is adorable, here are a couple shots of my crib assembly man :o). He is definitely going to kill me for the second one, but hey, it is completely necessary.

Next on my nursery to do list? Figuring out what the heck I want to put on the walls!! We are also looking for a little nightstand/bookshelf thing to put next to the chair.

Hope you like the look so far!

It's looking great! I like the new knobs on the dresser. The second picture of your hubby is hilarious!! Have you made a decision about the rug now that you have the furniture in the room?

Your nursury is amazing. I just found your blog and I'm your newest follower. I love the damansk wall. Good luck with finishing. A piece of advice....don't stress about getting it done ASAP. I got ours finished around 32 weeks and had nothing to do for 8 weeks except organize and reorganize! Great job though.

Well I think we've decided to keep the rug. I like it in person more than I do in the pictures, I only wish it was slightly larger.

That is one gorgeous nursery! I found a bookshelf at target! They have tons of them, some in the furniture section and others in the closet organization section!!

Looks great, Ashley. I think with all of the furniture in there, the rug does a good job of pulling the grays in the wall color into the rest of the room. Ended up working out perfect!

It looks GREAT! I love those knobs--I've been coveting similar ones from Anthropologie. I wish we had Hobby Lobby here! That's a great bargain.

Your nursery looks AMAZING!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the curtains, but I'm having a boy and don't think he'd appreciate it!!
Im due in 4 weeks and only have the crib!! Can I ask where you purchased the dresser??

Sarah and Aaron - Our dresser came from Nebraska Furniture Mart, but it is from the Munire Urban collection. So anywhere that carries that brand should sell the dresser!

Love the nursery! And good luck with your bp and protein, I have had preeclampsia with both my kids so I can relate. Hope it is just a fluke. Can I ask where you got the drapes? They are gorgeous. Oh and what color your paint is?

Hi I'm a new follower! The nursery is coming out amazing, just gorgeous. If you are not too sure about the set up of the room you can try something like this...
Move the slider away from the yellow curtains and put on the other side where the crib is currently at. This way the grey wall is behind the slider and gives it some contrast.
Move the bed to the wall with the decals, closer to the window (this was you can see the bedding).
With the dresser in the entrance of the room it doesn't feel right, maybe move it to the same wall as the slider (where the bed is currently at).

The bedding is beautiful!!

Found you via Nuestra...Beautiful nursery. It's elegant and sophisticated rather than terribly cutsie. You've probably answered this question before but where did you get your curtains? smhinckley@yahoo.com

I found your blog while searching for gray and yellow nurseries. I'm thinking of doing the same, and your beautiful nursery has made me even more sure! Are these your curtains? Urban Outfitters ruffle curtains

Kelli- Yes, those are my curtains!

I absolutely love this nursery! I'm thinking of doing the stencil thing too, but still trying to decide on a design for our nursery. May I ask what paint colors you used?

You did an excellant job, very beautiful!
