this and that

::  You know how I know it is about damn time I do some laundry?  When my husband is wearing swim trunks to bed because all his comfy shorts are dirty.  Sorry Christopher.  I just started a load, I swear!

::  The reason why I haven't touched the laundry in over a week?  Chris picked up the latest season of True Blood to come out on DVD over the weekend.  I think we have one episode left to watch.  Sad in so many ways...  Also, I started reading Catching Fire finally, so I am pretty much useless.

::  I got my hair done yesterday, and decided to go the highlights/lowlights route for the summer, as opposed to my usual all over auburn color.  My stylist did a wonderful job as always, but I'm not sure I'm loving it.  I'm going to give it a few more days, but I think I might have to go back in and have it colored all over.  The highlights just don't seem like me anymore.

::  Ryann and I had a couple of days in a row that were just perfect.  She was super sweet and didn't try to get in trouble and we had just enough planned to keep us entertained but not too busy.  But the last few days?  Toddler hell.  She is waking up at 5:15am just to tick me off, I swear.  And even though really she would just happily lay in her crib and sing to herself or play with her 'buddies', I can't leave her.  Because oh yes, one of her other ways to entertain herself?  Picking at her lips until they bleed.  It is awful.  And then the rest of the day I swear she does anything and everything she can to push my buttons and cries and nothing and has zero patience.  As do I.  Oy.

::  The good news is we're headed to Grammy and Papa's house for the weekend.  Which both Ryann and I are super excited about.  Ryann, because she loves her Grammy and Papa to death and can't wait to go swimming and on the boat and touch the fountain and etc. etc. etc.  I'm stoked because the dance studio I spent the majority of my time at for about 20 years is having a reunion.  I can't wait.  We're performing in the recital and everything.  Should be interesting.  :o)  But really I can't wait.  Dance was such a big part of my life, and those girls were my best friends.

::  Our friends convinced Christopher he needed to get some cookie butter from Trader Joe's.  I definitely love them and hate them for it.  It is delicious, so delicious that I don't want to stop eating it.  Ever.  It is kind of like peanut butter, but it tastes like a cookie.  Absolutely amazing.

::  I didn't realize today was National Running Day until about 20 minutes ago, and I didn't run today :o(.  Not sure I'll convince myself to do it later either.  I feel like a running failure!  Not really, but it does make me sad.

::  And the wee one is trying to kill me by taking a short nap and is currently laying in her crib picking at her lips.  Sorry to leave you without any pictures, but I've gotta go.

I have a new post topic for you... All the items you love from Trader Joe's! We're getting one in the Dallas/Plano, TX area soon and I'd love to barge in there with my shopping list!

Literally laughed out loud about Chris sleeping in his swimming trunks. This would totally happen to Derek if he didn't do our laundry, I HATE it!!!

Your making me nervous about getting highlights now. I have an appointment next week to do that and chop off my hair. I think they'll grow on you. I'm used to all over color too but we gotta switch things up.

This is the first time I've commented, but I had to after your dance comment! I danced there for five years and my sister danced there until she graduated, so she'll be part of the alumni dance and I'll be in the audience on Saturday. My niece is six and dances there now and will also be in the recital. Have fun!

I hope you get to enjoy the weekend, maybe some me time will be good for you.
and abt running, don't feel bad! You are my hero... I posted pics of my first week in the treadmill on IG last week, then after I read about your last 10K and saw your timming... I understand that my pics were plain embarrasing (and I looked all proud abt it..) 4k in 42 minutes? now THAT's a running failure LOL! ...

I did six loads of laundry today but it is currently sitting next to me while I play around on the computer. If someone else would just fold it, we'd be golden!

So I swear you posted a link to the most adorable iPhone covers with your name on them earlier this spring. Am I crazy? If not, can you please re-post where they were from? Thanks!

Kelly- This post from last year had a link to a monogram phone cover in it. Other than that I've got nothing!
