embrace the camera {more painting}

I'm hoping Ryann is going to be a little arts & crafts junky like me.  I've loved doing crafts/coloring/painting/drawing/etc, for as long as I can remember.  Frequently I find myself lost coloring page after page in her coloring books even though she has moved onto another activity (until she of course comes over and flips the book closed and drags me with her).  There is something so relaxing about a coloring book.

Ryann enjoys coloring, but it seems as though painting makes her extra happy.  I wanted to make a footprint ghost over the weekend, so since we already had the paints out and the clothes off, I figured why not let her get in some finger painting action too.  It was a family affair (grammy and papa included).  We all had a good time watching her grin grow as she smeared the colors across the page.

Definitely a less than stellar photo of myself, but the photo still makes me happy.  For one, Chris had off midday Saturday through Monday.  Time as a family DEFINITELY makes me happy.  And two?  Well, see text above.  My daughter is starting to enjoy things that I love too.  It makes my heart happy.

Go embrace the camera.  Seriously.  Just do it.

So cute. I've got to get my daughter some paint - I think she would love it! And as one who's husband has been working a ton lately (think all day and all night plus weekends for about a month an a half now!) I can definitely appreciate the value of family time. :)
